Academic and Socioсultural Adaptation of Students in Russian Universities

The article presents the results of All-Russian sociological study academic and sociocultural adaptation students in Russian universities. purpose was to identify interpret problems students’ educational process, research activities, project training, environment university. subject selfassessment adaptability junior students, as well factors influencing it. novelty consists a comprehensive consideration key activities at university, including new type activity. empirical implemented through massive online survey May-July 2022. respondents were first second-year enrolled bachelor’s full-time specialty programs various areas training. total volume sample 15,902 people, maximum sampling error didn’t exceed 1%.Based on data, shows main learning, namely, significant amount information, pace format practical classes coursework that require more independence activity than school education. authors reveal connection between level initiative degree their integration into university community. negative trend decreasing student field compared period , preservation high proportion those who are prone fraud due lack adaptive resources, is shown. It concluded complicated by unwillingness responsibility independence, an attitude towards individualism autonomy, insufficiently professional culture knowledge, which odds with expectations customers. At same time, positive effects have been recorded nonresident foreign students. Getting used specifics culture, environment, urban society occurs without much difficulty. conclusion made about effectiveness support disabilities, reasoned absence differences all groups
